During his early training years, he has competed in many tournaments and was also part of the National Tae kwon do Team Class B, which was ranked top 10 in his country and he was also the High School Champion and the Adult National Champion. Upon his arrival in the United in 2003 he begins his training in Houston and had to one more time test for each belt rank until earning his black belt a second time and consequently his 1st, 2nd, 3rd Dan and most recently, his 4th Dan becoming than a Master.

Master Polio has guided his students and trained his students to attend many competitions in the Houston area. On all tournaments attended, they have brought home first and second places. As a four time sparring champion himself (2006/2009/2010/2011), Master Polio has extensive knowledge of the sparring techniques and enjoys passing them along to his students.

Tae kwon do requires more than physical strength. As a Master he has to not only enhance his student’s physical abilities but to instill in them the tenets of Tae kwon do which are: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit.  When asked what his goal is, he stated: “My goal is to pass on my passion for Tae kwon do to all of my students, young and older. To teach them that they can achieve their goals, regardless of their skill level.”  His patience and passion for teaching and his love for Tae kwon do has proven that everything is possible.
